WE PRODUCE STEEL

An infinitely recyclable material

Our industrial plant has two different facilities with which we produce reinforcing Bars, An infinitely recyclable material.

reinforcing Bars

We have a wide variety of sections, lengths, and mechanical specifications for high ductility and special ductility reinforcing Bars steel, with a flexible manufacturing capacity to adapt to each type of customer

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION:

Reinforcing Bars is the material which, together with concrete forms reinforced concrete,  the most widely used component in construction. Our reinforcing Bars is manufactured to offer greater safety in use, due to the high ductility and special ductility which offer a higher resistance in structures subjected to seismic movements

PRODUCTION PROCESS

The manufacturing process of reinforcing Bars involves two major processes: steelmaking and rolling.

CERTIFICATES

Our products and manufacturing processes are of the highest quality and efficiency, and they hold the most rigorous quality, safety and environmental certifications and approvals in the markets in which we operate.

STEEL

Handling and storage of raw material:

Scrap is sorted and loaded into the electric furnace for transformation into liquid steel.

Melting furnace:

The liquid steel is transported to the refining furnace where, with the addition of ferroalloys and fluxes, it is adjusted to its final composition.

Continuous casting:

Process by which the liquid steel is poured in a controlled manner into a mould to obtain the billet.

LAMINATION

Reheating furnace:

Its function is to heat the billet to rolling temperature.

Roughing mill:

Process by which the billet is reduced from a square to a circular shape.

Intermediate mill:

The bar continues its process through rolling boxes for section reduction.

Finishing mill:

Last reduction process, the rebars are made by carving them.

Thermo-mechanical treatment:

Aims to increase the strength of the rebar to obtain a superficially resistant product with a ductile core.

Finishing and packaging:

The bars are cut to sales length and are packaged and labelled with all the necessary information.
